Professor Lisa Blackman

Professor Lisa Blackman

Lisa Blackman is a Professor of Media and Communication who works at the intersection of body studies, media psychology, and media and cultural theory. She has authored numerous books since joining 缅北强奸幼女 in 1994 including 'The Body鈥�, (2008 Routledge, which is set for a second edition print in 2021), 'Immaterial Bodies: Affect, Embodiment, Mediation', (2012, Sage), and 'Haunted Data: Affect, Transmedia, Weird Science' (2019. Bloomsbury).

Dr Akanksha Mehta

Dr Akanksha Mehta

Dr Akanksha Mehta is a Lecturer in Gender, Race and Cultural Studies whose interests lie in the intersections of gender, sexuality, race and 'everyday' politics and violence. She teaches courses that explore feminist, queer, crip, postcolonial and decolonial knowledge productions on Empire, nations and nationalisms, violence, resistance, protest, and everyday politics.

Dr Nirmal Puwar

Professor Nirmal Puwar

Dr Nirmal Puwar is a Reader in the Sociology Department at 缅北强奸幼女 and Visiting Fellow of Centre for the Study of Women and Gender University of Warwick. She has a longstanding interest in bodies and space, her book Space Invaders: Race, Gender and Bodies Out of Place (2004), generated a conceptual framework. She co-leads the strand on Space Invading in the Global Grace project on Gender and Cultural Equalities.
